Cultural Intelligence
At the core of all our programmes and training is the need for each of us to be culturally aware, or to develop our 'cultural intelligence.' Our own culture is invisible to us; we are ignorant of its influence upon us until we come into contact with someone from a different culture.
Culture
How does culture come about? How do we learn it? How much are we influenced by it? Our culture determines out attitude to every area of the diversity spectrum and as such it is important to examine our culture in order to deal with these other issues. This focus will help to deal with issues within our own culture as well as with cultures from other parts of the world.
Identity
Within our own culture we each have our unique identity but even that identity is shaped by our culture. This core training shows how we can maintain our cultural integrity and our unique identity when faced with a cross-cultural situation and a multi-cultural world.
