Aletheia
Aletheia is the Greek word for truth. We need to remember that there is always more to the world than we can see by ourselves and we need other people to broaden our perspective.

 

Cultural intelligence and identity recognition help us to communicate more clearly with people of another culture, whether in business or for pleasure.

Ruth Forsythe has spent 20 years living in four cultures other than the one into which she was born. This has enabled her to experience and examine the effects of cross cultural contact for over 20 years.
 
Ruth was part of a steering committee that founded Haven of Peace Academy an International School in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She served on the school board for 4 years and taught for 2 years in the secondary school. The school now has over 250 pupils from over 25 different countries.
 
She has studied in her native Northern Ireland and also at Regent College, Vancouver, Canada where she attained a Masters in Christian Studies with a focus on women's studies and Hebrew narrative.
 
She and her husband lived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for a total of 13 years involved in leadership training and small group facilitation in a Tanzanian Church and community setting, in both Swahili and English.
 
Since returning to the UK in 2003 Ruth has been a library manager and has now developed a cross-cultural consulting and training business building on her past experience.
